Gallery doesn't load from album page

Hi,

I created months ago albums and galleries which worked fine.
But around 1 month ago the galleries stopped working: In the album, when I click on a gallery, instead of opening the gallery, Nextgen reloads the current page of the album.
An interesting point is that it works in the preview mode of the dashboard but not when load normally the site.

We use NextGen Gallery 2.1.0.
We use WordPress 4.2.2 running Hueman theme.

I will answer this myself for others with similar problems
The plugin polylang and and NextGen Gallery does not work together, as stated by the polylang developer here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/polylang-not-working-with-nggallery

If you need multiple language suppoert and a photo gallery on the same site, either switch gallery plugin or the language plugin.

photocrati, a list of known incompatible plugins for the nextgen gallery would be very useful. Do you provide such a list?

As to a list of known working or non-working/incompatible plugins … there are just too many plugin in the WordPress plugin repository (not to mention the 1000’s upon 1000’s available elsewhere) to justifiably keep a list current especially since the WordPress ecosystem of plugins is continually evolving and changing as well.
