• Ever since the upgrade to wordpress 4.2.2, I have not been able to access my network admin dashboard. I can access the other dashboards on the multisite but not the network dashboard.

To clarify, I can login to the network admin dashboard, but the main content area is blank, see: http://imgur.com/c7SKcyk

    Any thoughts?

    Hi brytmill!

Have you tried reinstalling the WP core files via FTP, just in case something went sideways with them in the upgrade?

Try also manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hello Bet,

    Thank you for your response.

I’ve tried resetting the core files and plugins, unfortunately this has not fixed the issue.

I could try resetting the theme next, but my concern is that I will lose the theme settings and break the site. I did not initially set up the theme so I’m not familiar with the settings and I’d prefer not to alter them. Will resetting the theme folder to check for a theme-specific issue reset the current theme settings? If so, is there any way to save these settings for a safe reset?

    Thanks!

The theme settigs are saved in the database, not the files. Unless you edited the files directly. Which you should never do 🙂
