Import function: Using double quotes in details section

    Hello,

    I love the new import function. But I have a problem when the details section contains a URL and thus contains double quotes (“)

    When importing the CVS it aborts the import without any error message. The import function just shows the ‘Import Events’ title.

    I have tried some single quotes and double the double quotes, but nothing seems to work. My question is: how can I use URL’s and thus double quotes, in the details section for importing data? If necessary, can you update the plugin to fix this?

    For example, my import file has the following content:

    "sep=,"
"title","start date","end date","time","location","details"
"Title","22-06-2015",,"09.30","Location","Some text <a title="Link name" href="http://www.website.com/">Text</a>"

    All,

    I solved the issue. There was an error in my date format in the CVS file. When fixed this, I was able to import URL’s (and thus use double quotes) in the details section.

    Solution was to use the double quote twice inside the details section. Example:

    "sep=,"
"title","start date","end date","time","location","details"
"Test Title",22.06.2015,22.06.2015,10:01:00,"Location","Some text <a title=""Link"" href=""http://www.website.com/"">Text</a>"
