Revolution Slider – Adding Text Under The Image

I’m about to pull my hair out over this one. I can’t find a solution to this anywhere or a slider that even has this functionality. I asked this question on Stackexchange and I didn’t even get an answer, I just got downvoted.

I need help finding a very specific kind of slider that can do this. I usually use Revolution Slider and customize it to a specific need but I can’t seem to edit this one to make it work.

I need the following setup

The main image

Text for the image to appear below (not on) the main image in between the main image and the thumbnails

The thumbnails for all the images in the slider

I thought an easy solution would be simply to make a text layer for the slider in Revolution Slider, give it a class and then position it outside of the slider but it disappears. It’s not an overflow issue, it’s not a z-index issue, it just disappears if I try to create a text layer on top of the slide and position it outside of the slide.

That was my best idea for a work around and I can’t seem to find a plugin anywhere or any kind of slider that fulfills this functionality. Anyone have any ideas?
