Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue.
Thanks James. I tried deactivating the plugins, which didn’t work. I started playing around with the themes but realised that it’s only the front page of the URL that has the coding showing. I deleted all coding hoping that would alleviated the issue, but it hasn’t. if I paste any other URL pages of my site, it is perfectly fine. Strange. Could it be hidden in a widget, from the page, do you think?
Do you still have the problem when using the Twenty Fifteen theme?
I had a friend who put it in the current format, and I tried playing with Twenty Fifteen theme but it went back to the ‘theme style’ without my layout, so got a little scared and reverted back. Will have a play and see how I go.
Ok, please let us know if you have the same problem under Twenty Fifteen. It’s crucial to the troubleshooting process.
Does it matter that I was using Accelerate as a theme? By the way thanks for all your support in trying to fix this, James. I’ve completely stuffed up my website, but I’m learning lots by investigating how to fix it, so in future I may be able to do my own edits without having to rely on others. 😀

I don’t know, did you still have the problem under Twenty Fifteen?
🙁 Yes. It’s still there 🙁 I’m at a loss. Have you got any other ideas, James?
Would you please give me an example of one URL that always produces this problem when attempting to share on Facebook?
Sure, thanks James. I’ve changed it back to Accelerate.
http://www.keystrokes.net.au/
Ok, http://www.keystrokes.net.au/?p=362 is the only post I could find. I also tested http://www.keystrokes.net.au/ itself, and I don’t see the stated issue on Facebook or Twitter for either URL.
You can verify how these will look on each at https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ and https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator
Perhaps you have a browser extension that adding this in only when you try to share, or are you having trouble with sharing a different URL?
Ohhhh thanks James. I’ve shared my site on Facebook, and it’s now only showing the link rather than the coding. that’s a start. I’ll have another play around and see what I can do. You’re a smart cookie. Many thanks for assisting me with this.
