Importing folder Outside of WP Folder

    I have been looking trying to figure this out, but having no luck.

    We run a sports site, and would like to be able to have some of our sports teams photographers to be able to upload their images from the games to folders via FTP, then be able to import that folder using the “Import Folder” feature for a new Gallery.

    So basically…..on our server, we have a FTP account setup for each of them to go to a certain directory (their own photographer folder) where they can can create a new folder for each game. Then have them use the NextGen Gallery “Import Folder” to import that folder while keeping the images in the original folder box checked. But, I don’t see a way to change where you can look for different directories. Only seems to give you the choice of folders in the wp-content folder. We would rather have them upload to a folder outside of the WordPress directory. We have a directory already setup like so: “http://images.ourdomain.net/photographers/photogs-name/06-15-15-game”. Then just simply have the photographer import that folder for a new gallery.

    Is this even possible to do?

    @beermoney – This is likely what you are looking for, add the following to your wp-config.php file:

    /** Change Import Folder path */
define( 'NEXTGEN_GALLERY_IMPORT_ROOT', dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/'  );
define( 'NGG_IMPORT_ROOT', dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/' );
