I LOVE this plug-in. Has worked flawlessly for the past two years on my site.

Suddenly, when I attempt to re-sort (and I admit I have a lot of content – though I’m always just re-sorting the most recent, about to be published 25 – 30 posts), nothing is happening.

I click on “update” and then I see “Javascript: Void(0)” – and nothing happens.

Ideas on how to proceed, what to test, etc.?

    Merry

How many posts are on your sort list? Possible for a timeout operation when order save. Can you check with the ajax response? see the browser console.

First, I have 1,550 posts — but I’m only trying to sort the first 30 or so, FWIW.

As directed, I also opened the console. And this was there:
/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo-premium/premium/assets/js/wp-seo-premium-quickedit-notification.min.js?ver=2.2.1:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘replace’ of undefined

Does this mean that my problem is a function of an error in Yoast’s code? Please confirm so I can thank you again and go bug them.

You can try and temporary disable the yoast plugin, however you should check with the AJAX response instead. Most probably the server return a timeout, as it’s still process the whole list of posts. In such case you should ask the server admin to increase the execution time, 60 sec should be enough but it’s just depending on the server hardware.

I have (a) increased the AJAX response time to 90 seconds. That didn’t have an impact.

OTOH, when I disabled Yoast, everything worked.

Am now reaching out to them for help.

    Thanks for your help.
