Hi,
Thanks for your kind of words.
We have resolved this issue in v.3.0.
Please update plugin and let me know in case any issue.
I still have a problem and am unable to create backups with this plugin on one of my websites. “When I try to run “create new database backup” I just see a white screen (after a couple of seconds).”
Database information > Tables information now shows the tables – so the fatal error problem has been resolved.
Using wordpress 4.2.2 and Version 3.1 of WP Database Backup (I deleted old version and did a clean install)
website http://www.jetlagandmayhem.com – backups do NOT WORK
website http://www.papamayhem.com – backups DO WORK PROPERLY
I have emailed the details as requested
Hi,
We have resolved format_size issue in latest WP Database backup plugin.
Please install latest plugin and let me know in case issue.
Happy to help!
Thanks for help so far. Unfortunately, I still have “the white screen problem” and am unable to create backups with this plugin on one of my websites.
When I try to run “create new database backup” I just see a white screen (after a couple of seconds).
Using wordpress 4.2.3 and Version 3.2 of WP Database Backup (I deleted old version of the plugin and did a clean install)
website http://www.jetlagandmayhem.com – backups do NOT WORK
website http://www.papamayhem.com – backups DO WORK PROPERLY
Thanks for the interest you are taking in resolving this. Is there any way that you can display a progress indicator in place of the white screen?
You are probably right to suspect database size as the problem.. However I did wait for 5 minutes before abandoning.
My website http://www.papamayhem.com – (backups DO WORK PROPERLY)
has a database size of 64mb
My website http://www.jetlagandmayhem.com – (backups do NOT WORK)
has a database size of 176mb (which I assume is not huge for an operational site).

I have emailed the admin detail to Prashant. As a user of a shared hosting service, I dont think I am able to change htaccess OR php.ini execution limits.
I dont want to ask the hosting service to increase execution time. That is not required for anything else that I do – whatever limit is “in force” protects me against runaway jobs – so I dont want to increase that.
I did change wp-config.php as suggested – but that did not help.
error_log does not contain anything for this time.
Hope you are doing well.
Let me know in case any issue.
