Same here! I used the override message for “Required field missing” but the plugin ignores it. I tried to update the general settings but it will not save my new text message.

ajia.im, I recommend not editing any .php files unless you’re willing to redo those changes every time we update the plugin. Those changes will get lost because they will be overwritten automatically when you update. That being said, you should be able to change the message in the Forms page. Scroll down below Form settings & messages and find Already subscribed. Changing that will solve your issues.

I’m trying to do this, too, through the Forms settings, but as for Jayse83, when I make the text changes I want and then click “save changes”, it reverts to the original.

Are you users of the premium version of the plugin by any chance? If so, we released an update yesterday (version 2.7.6) which fixes an issue with general form messages not being saved.
@aija.im, there should be a setting in the plugin when you browse to MailChimp for WP > Forms which lets you change this message, as iMazed mentioned.
Let us know if that doesn’t work please. 🙂
Do you have to have the premium version for it to show the Forms option? I can’t get much of anything other than linking my API and refreshing my mailing list information. I want to turn off the notification that the person is already subscribed, it is giving errors in my contact form 7 and i want the person to submit the contact form regardless without worrying/knowing they’re already subscribed.
