This was answered just the other day, and there’s a lot of answers found by doing a Forum search.
In essence, you have to have the comments stuff put into your page.php file.

In what direction? On how to put comments in static Pages?
It’s there, in my previous post: you can click that link to see all kinds of forum responses/solutions. but basically, you need to place your comments call in your page.php file. By default, it doesn’t have it – but you just have to copy it from your single.php file.
I’m having similar troubles (comments in static pages), and I tried putting the code from single.php into page.php. Am I placing the right code into it? I’m not even sure what the correct code to place would be.

Hi there,
My PAGES don’t seem to allow for comments. My POSTS are fine, but even if ‘allow comments’ is checked when I create a PAGE, it doesn’t seem to work. I’m very new at this, so I may be doing something basic.
Any ideas?
