Menu won't show up
-
I have worked with the appearance>menu screen, have created a menu and done everything necessary to create a primary menu. Nevertheless, when I apply the changes (save and publish), the changes do not show up.
In fact, I can not get my menu to display anything. Despite any changes I make, the primary menu remains blank.
When I use the “customize” tab, I can get the changes to appear. But, when I save and apply, the changes disappear.
I am using the theme called Hickory.
Thank you for any help!

I am using the theme called Hickory.
Have you tried using the default Twenty Fifteen theme?
Have you set the LOCATION for your menu? Look in the same area where your menu editor is located.
Thank you for responding.
Unfortunately, I have tried setting the location for my menu. I have tried clicking the box labeled “Primary menu” and have also gone to the “Manage locations” tab at the top of the appearance>menu screen.
I am thinking that it is more a bug than my inability to work with WordPress. I am thinking this because when I use the “customize” tool and enter in my menu, the menu comes up on screen perfectly. However, when I save and apply, the changes do not occur and it is as if I never made the change.
So, the issue resolved itself.
I removed the theme from wordpress and readded it and the menu worked!
Thanks everyone.
I have a similar question , if anyone can help me I will be very grateful!
I imported the demo content from a template exactly as called for in the documentation, but I’m having problems with the menus … after I select and save the position and menu settings, this message is in place for the menu :
Please enable menu in admin panel – > appearance -> menus
Even after saving …. the only way to make the menu appear is in customize / widgets, the menu appears when you select here, but to save disappears.
Any of this story ?
