set custom menu on navigation bar

    Hello everyone! I’m still fairly green when it comes to wordpress.org, and I just switched over from wordpress.com, but i seem to be having issues with the navigation. For some weird reason, my navigation bar isn’t showing up at all when I set it to a custom menu.
    However, when I dont set a custom menu to it, the navigation bar shows up again. Is there any way to set a custom menu to the navigation bar without it disappearing?

    I feel so dumb. apparently the menus didn’t transfer like I thought. I had to re-create the menu first. problem solved
