Spam Karma 2.3RC4 installation issue

I’m trying to install Spam Karma 2.3RC4 to my WordPress 2.2 blog. I upload the folder containing the files to the plugin folder, go to plugin management and click activate. This takes me to a blank page with no name, no error messages, nothing. The plugin has not been activated. I followed a vague suggestion from the official site (or rather the google cache of said site as it appears the Doctor’s not in anymore) and deleted the plugin folder, uploaded the 13 or so files straight to he plugin folder and trying plugin activation again. Same result.

Any help?
