• Dear Boone,

I hope you can help. We’re experiencing strange behaviour with the translation of this part:
%1$s has invited you to the group: “%2$s”.\n
    \n
To view your group invites visit: %3$s\n
    \n
To view the group visit: %4$s\n
    \n
To view %5$s’s profile visit: %6$s\n
    \n
    ———————\n

What happens is that the (Dutch) translation only works on the first sentences. The last sentence: To view… stays in English.

Also does it happen that Sometimes the receiver gets the whole english text in his mail, just like the translation doesn’t work at all.

I’m not a coder, so I have no other insights on what’s happening.

    Thanks for your help!

    Dag Thijs,

heb je hier toevallig de nederlandstalige .mo en .po file van?
Ik heb ook interesse in de vertalling en wil het best wel zelf vertalen. Is niet zoveel werk.

Hi Thijs7272 – I’ve looked into this, and I’m perplexed. It does look like there are some oddities in the way that translation works for parts of this plugin, including the string in question – I’m inheriting the translation directly from BP’s nl_NL file, rather than forcing the translator to provide it for Invite Anyone. It’s possible that this is the problem. In the next update, I’ll force the textdomain properly. This may require that the new strings be translated into Dutch in the .po/.mo files; if you’re familiar with that process, I invite you to send me the updated .po and .mo files after the next version of Invite Anyone is released.
