photoblog sidebar?

To use Pictorialis, I will have to install LL’s version of WordPress. I am reluctant to do this because I already modified my own WP and I don’t want to do it all over again. Also, I run a multiple author blog, so if I want to have a Pictorialis photoblog parallel to the main one, which is ok, my authors will have to login twice, whichwill be confusing. The main weblog is not a photoblog, and I just want the sidebar basically, with links to big photos, not necessarily with pretty formatting. Suggestions?
