• My MT weblog is setup here: http://www.playswellwithothers.net and my WP test blog is setup here: http://www.gbdesigns.com/pwwo. With that said, I’m trying to figure out a few things. First off, how to make the “Recently Posted” and “You commented” sections look on the WP blog like they do on the MT blog.
Recently Posted should be formatted as the four or five most recent entries: Title: Excerpt
You Commented should be formatted as the four or five last comments: Name said: Comment Excerpt (10-15 words from their comment is fine).
I’m confused by all the PHP, but I’m getting through it so far. I’m intrigued by WP, but so far I’m finding MT easier to get things done in. However, I’ve always found forum support to be the biggest help, so hopefully you all are as helpful as the MT people have been.
On the plus side, I got the links working through WP on the right sidebar… very cool feature. I’ll probably have a million more questions as I move through this. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Kyramas. I’ve actually found that but I guess I need a little more hand holding. My main issue is figuring out the formatting and how to do excerpts. For example, the “recently published” hacks allow me to post the titles of the most recent entries, but then there’s no explanation on how to include the excerpt next to it.

Update: I think I got what I want. I went back to that link Kyramas sent me to and started messing with the tags and it did exactly what I was looking for. So thanks again.

Okay… for most recent posts [http://www.gbdesigns.com/pwwo/], I’ve got this page excluding posts from category “2”. However, I also want to exclude category 2 from my recent posts. Any suggestions. I’ve searched the boards and people seem to be asking the question, but I can’t seem to find a definitive answer….
