    file = ../wp-config.php

    $_FILE = wp-supercache.php

    Hi , I have had numerous EMails with the above wording on them. It says ;
    Offending Parameters.
    Please could someone tell me what these are, and if they are serious.

    Hi , Thanks for looking at this . Here is the mail:

    WordPress Firewall has detected and blocked a potential attack!
    Web Page: marketbigideas.com/
    Warning: URL may contain dangerous content!
    Offending IP: 62.210.251.69 [ Get IP location ]

    Offending Parameter: execute = wp_insert_user

    This may be a “WordPress-Specific SQL Injection Attack.”

    If you suspect this may be a false alarm because of something you recently did, try to confirm by repeating those actions. If so, whitelist it via the “whitelist this variable” link below. This will prevent future false alarms.

    This is one of them, the others were the same but with the other parameters. Please let me know if you are able to understand this as I am a relative Newbie .

    Many thanks .

    It’s possible that the message might be generated by this plugin: /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-firewall-2/

    Some reference info: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-firewall-2/

    As a side note: your directories are not protected from casual browsing. You can probably find a setting for that in your hosts control panel, or search out info on “Options – Indexes” for your .htaccess file.

    Hi , Many thanks for your help.

    I see that this plug -in has not been updated for 3 years,

    so have disabled it and will find another similar.

    Will monitor this now.

    Thanks again.

    Edward
