Problem moving my site

    Hello, I recently made a rookie error of trying to do something I know not a lot about. I tried to move a file from a subdomain to a public folder but now the site has gone missing and I can’t login to WP to get it back. I followed the instructions at http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress and when I changed the addresses as per number 4 & 5 everything failed. I’m new to this and would be very grateful for advice on how to get back to where I was 2 days ago. Thank you.

    There is more than one possibility here as to what could be wrong, and my first guess is that your domain URL is still cPanel-pointed and/or -assigned to the previous location. So at least in theory, fixing that might solve your problem if everything else related to the move is set.
