punycode subdomain names

Hi,

I’d like to clone to a subdomain name that includes characters outside the a-z range (swedish characters in my case). I tried converting the subdomain name to punycode and input it like that but the “-” sign isn’t allowed in the name.

For example: let’s say I want the subdomain name to be äventyret, in punycode that converts to xn--ventyret-zza

Is it possible to achieve this some other way?
