    Hi Donald,

    That’s definitely odd behavior! The current latest release is 3.9.3 and we’re slated to release 3.10 very shortly.

    Sometimes errors like this can be the result of file permissions on your server. That’s probably the place I would look first.

    From there, I would also check to make sure you are installing the latest version of the plugin and check to see that it is not conflicting with any other plugins by deactivating those and trying to activate The Events Calendar again.
