Maximum Quantity for specific items

If the above example is not clear enough, in brief, here is what I want to do:

I’ve a store that sells items, let’s assume sells Gold Bars. The shipping company can ship up to 4 bars or 1 ounce in total per order. Some times 1 bar weights 1 ounce, other times the 4 bars are less than half ounce, but we can’t send more than those 4 bars.

So, I want to specify some items or bars with the weight 1 ounce to be sold 1 per total order. The less weight items can be sold normally up to the 4 items.

I don’t know how to do it with Min Max, so I’ll be thankful if you help me with this..

I may have some misunderstanding, but let me declare more:

If I make the global settings of orders to be the maximum 4 items per order. Then, I’ve a special item (say item Z) that not only its maximum per total order should be 1 but all the order amount if (item Z) is ordered should be 1 NOT 4. Ie.. no other items can be ordered with this item. The shipping is allowed only for this alone (item Z) with no other items.

With my current settings to the plugin, someone can buy 1 order for that (item Z) and 3 order from other items with the total order of 4, whereas I want to the total order when someone order that (item Z) to be 1 NOT 4.

could you please help me in this situation?

Can I assign maximum order per category? I can create a separate category for those items in question.

If this way works, can I still assign maximum quantity per item for the items within the categories too? or just apply one maximum quantity per whole category only?
