• My website continues to cache on Safari and Firefox even though I discontinued using all caching plugins. It does not cache on Chrome.

Even though I restart my computer both Firefox and Safari fail to show the updated homepage until the page is refreshed or their cache is manual cleared. I haven’t noticed either browser cache other sites after the computer is shut down. This happens both at work and at home. The site does not cache on my iPad nor phone.

Any idea what might cause this?

    Thanks!

    Pat M.

Sometimes it is important to clear the caching plugin cache before you deactivate them. Sometimes a caching plugin might not clean up after itself well enough when deactivated. What all caching plugins have been activated on your site?

If you can refresh browser or clear the browswer cache and view the updated homepage, it means the only problem is the browser caching and the site is not serving the old homepage from any cache, right?

I don’t know. Maybe someone else does?

The caching programs were WP Fastest Cache and Wordfence Falcon. WP Fastest Cache has been completely removed, but Wordfence is still installed for the security features is offers.
