  • Hi StanLight have you also tested your website in a smartphone? Can you provide a URL to your website.

    Thank you

Hi mbrsolution, thanks for your reply. Sorry,I haven’t tried a smartphone (I don’t own one).

Does this link take you to the page with the slider?

Hi I just checked your URL above and it works well in my smartphone running Android 4.2. You might have an issue in your ipad. Try and delete the cache and make sure your ipad is up to date.

    Hi, thanks for checking that.

I did clear cookies, history, everything, but this ipad is an older ipad, is running an older version of iOS and can’t be updated any further for RAM and other reasons. It therefore uses Opera Mini 7.0.5 (the latest and most up-to-date version that it can run).

I know it’s always been a case that browsers move on and all that, but this is hardly IE 6.0 we’re talking about here 🙁 It’s an ipad I bought less than three years ago and there are several million like it around today (the owners of whom might visit my site).

I just did another test using my old iPhone 3GS which uses a very old version of Safari and it works for me. As I mentioned above your ipad has some compatibility issues I believe.

Thanks for checking. OK, that’s reassuring.

I thought I’d too try Safari, but strangely Safari seems to have been removed from the app store.

But I tried two other browsers – Puffin Free and FastBrowser. The slideshow works in both.

I can only conclude that the problem is only with Opera i.e. the slideshow doesn’t work on some versions of Opera.

Yes perhaps you are correct however without trying all versions of Opera it is not easy to know. There are also other factors to take into play here like other plugins, apps etc.

Since this issue is more to do with Opera and not the plugin can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Thank you
