Secure WP Login Page

    Has anyone tried using an SSL-encripted login page? I want to try this but not sure where to start. I think my host has a shared SSL certif I can use for free. Or I could pony up and pay for my own but not sure how much they cost.

    Even if I did SSL-encrypt the login page, would this prevent evil people with sniffers from discovering my admin password?
