How to start

    Ok I realise I am a dummy, so no snide remarks please. My local Bowls club asked me to set up a web page for them as I love my computer and have helped some of the oldies do very basic things like setting up email etc.
    This is a totally different thing and I am out of my depth, I did a blog before on Blogspot with out too much trouble but I just cant get to the start on wordpress.
    I have gotten on to the CP and looked around but no way can I get a page (as shown in themes) up on the computer. I expected to be able to get a basic page up and play with it, changing Pictures, wording etc but to no avail. I have just spent all day trying very hard to do so, I have set background colour, chosen a pic but cant see the result in front of me on a web page. It does come up with a page with comments and other things but NO defined page that I can add a text square or add a picture like you can on Powerpoint programmes or the likes, where do I start, PLEASE help. 🙁

    Do you have a web address that you can share so we can take a look at what you do have so far?

    Sounds as though you have WordPress installed and are working with the default Twenty Fifteen theme; not much to look at, really 🙂

    Although the link below will be where most will direct you to, sometimes a search for ‘Getting started with WordPress’ on YouTube will get you some great tutorials to get you going 🙂
