jetpak plugin

please help – I have a wordpress website and on this site we host our blog – we would like to use the jetpak plugin so people can add their email addresses to receive notification that we have a new blog. I downloaded the plugin but it needs a wordpress.com login – that is asking me to set up a blog page – please help, is there another plug in that will do the same job? thanks
