    In the last 24 hours I have had over 60 subscribers added to my site. None of them seem to be real people – more like made up names with a totally different email address than the user name. What’s going on? I was using Version 3.9xx until this morning, but upgraded to 4.2.2. Since then there have been about 10 more fake subscribers.

    Seem like Spam Bots have discovered your website. keep track of all pending posts. they do try to create some things of that sort too.

    Use both of the following plugins and everything will be fine:

    • Install wm-simple-captcha plugin to add a simple capcha to your registration forms to prevent spam subscriptions and registrations.
    • Install Akismet plugin to monitor the comments
