Code showing on pages

    Hi all, My site works fine on localhost. However, when I upload it to my host a large block of code appears at the top of the page and even in the dashboard. I presume it is a missing tag or closure or something, but I have no idea where it is coming from. I have looked through the files but cannot find this code. Any tips or advice appreciated.

    It starts like this:

    ‘main’, ‘footer’ => ‘page’, ) );}add_action( ‘after_setup_theme’, ‘zerif_jetpack_setup’ ); tag based on what is being viewed. * * @param string $title Default title text for current view. * etc etc etc

    Actually, I have figured out that the code that is displaying is from jetpack.php and extras.php in the includes. I just can’t figure out why the code is displaying in the browser. Any help appreciated.

    Hi,

    Did you use FTP to install the theme to your server? If yes then your FTP software messed up the mark up of the file.

    In that case, please delete the theme from /wp-content/themes/ folder and then install it using the Theme Installer, following this tutorial: http://docs.themeisle.com/article/4-how-to-install-wordpress-themes

    Hi Hardeep,
    Yes, I uploaded via FTP. Didn’t realise it could mess up the code. I uninstalled the theme and then reinstalled via the Theme Installer and everything now seems to be working fine.
    For anyone else experiencing this, I was concerned that I would lose customisations and my child theme with the uninstall but everything worked out beautifully.
