• I’m having a problem importing my blog post from blogger I get this error message:

    Could not connect to https://www.google.com
There was a problem opening a secure connection to Google. This is what went wrong:

    Success (0)

Do I have something setup wrong?

I can’t log in at all now. New error message:

    The webpage cannot be found
    HTTP 404
    Most likely causes:
There might be a typing error in the address.
If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

    What you can try:
    Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

Go to and look for the information you want

What’s the URL for your blog?

Should wordpress be setup in my root directory?

I set it up in: public-html – blog

it should be in public_html, whether you have it in a sub-directory like “blog” is up to you. WordPress can work either way.

Personally, if it’s the only thing (or the main thing) on the domain then I’d have it in the root directory.

That’s weird! I have just gone to your domain and clicked through to “blog” and the blog has appeared straight away.

As far as the import itself, I can’t help. Never tried to do it.

    Thanks for your help.

A change at Google caused a new bug in the Blogger importer. The solution is at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/131952?replies=2
