Yes, it sure is!
For example, on one page you could use these two shortcodes:
[ik_fb_feed id=”natgeo”] and [ik_fb_feed id=”drpepper”] (i think drpepper is a real ID, but you get the idea).
If they are truly Public Pages, then you don’t need ownership of the pages to display the feeds. If they are not Public then it will not work.
I hope that helps!
Best,
Richard
Hi Richard
Thanks for getting back to me, I’d like the 2 facebook feeds to be in the right sidebar of the news, both pages are public. Where would I put the shortcodes if they were going in the sidebar?
Many thanks
Becky
Hey Becky!
If you use the Feed Widget, you can use the ID field in the widget to pass the ID of the Feed you want to load.
Alternatively, if your Theme supports it, you can use the shortcodes inside the Text Widget (this has to be enabled, WordPress doesn’t do this by default.)
One of those two choices should work for you!
All the best,
Richard
Hi Richard, thanks for your help.
I was having issues with the feeds not showing and only the titles visible, turns out the problem was down to a security problem with the server. All sorted now.
Thanks again, great plugin!
Thank you Becky!
Do you happen to know what the security issue was, in case anyone else reading this has a similar problem?
All the best,
Richard
We just needed to allow the script access, we added the facebook IP address ranges to our server firewall and that fixed the issue.
