Looks like I’m a few months late, but I am trying to remove the placeholder thumbnails for all my woo commerce products and I am having absolutely no luck.
I tried that CSS code and still nothing. I’ve managed to get rid of the thumbnail in the product description page (where you can select different product options), but just cannot seem to get the thumbnail removed on the main product page.

Ho coyg. Even if this topic was still active this forum offers support for the GeneratePress theme. You might have better luck submitting a ticket on the Vivacity support page, or the Woocommerce support page.
