404 Detection Blocks Google Bots?

    Hi, is it really true that the 404 Detection option blocks google bots? I am considering to turn on the feature but I’ve seen people saying that it blocks google bots, causing their site to not get indexed by google and causing their SEO rankings to plummet. Hope to get a clarification on this.

    yep, do not activate that function.
    you ll most likely block bots

    This will probably not be an issue if you monitor and fix any dead links in your website.

    Or disable Blacklist Repeat Offender …

    Or disable 404 Detection …

    Or whitelist all current GoogleBot ip address ranges …
