Where precisely was the theme *uploaded* to ?:)
All themes need to be uploaded to the wp-content/themes/ folder in a subfolder of there own.
I hadn’t created a new sub-folder. All is well now. Well I did say I was a novice! Thanks for your help.
i am having the same problem. the theme is uploaded to my wp-content/themes/refreshwp-11 directory (refreshwp-11 being the folder that contains all of the theme information). This new theme is not showing up in the presentation menu. Help?

only the classic and the default are where they are supposed to be.
ok… umm… but when i log into my cpanel on my hosting site, my theme is shown in the file manager.
That just means that your cpanel can see it doesn’t mean that your web server can see it. You’ll need to the have the files atleast group owned by the user that your websever uses.
not sure what that means, sorry….
How did you upload the theme through cpanel or ftp?
You’ll have to have a chat with your host, they could help you more than any of us speculating about what could have happened
