Thank you. The answer was, that this is not possible so far. I’d really like to request this feature. In German privacy law we are not allowed to store non-anonymized IPs without prior user consent.
This makes using your plugin impossible for German users if they want to abide to the law.

Did you email genbiz@wordfence.com and ask? I was thinking that there was an exception to the rule based on what we were doing. However, if you don’t want to block bad IP addresses, we certainly understand.

Yes I asked, the answer was that it is currently not possible to anonymize IP addresses but might be considered at a later date.
I only wanted to express a strong desire for such a feature.
The topic came back to my mind because Germany keeps intensifying our data privacy laws.

Not only German but actually ALL European websites require this.

It’s actually a pretty complex issue and because of the recent EU ruling, the way to comply is not very clear. For our part, Wordfence does not transfer user personally identifiable information (PII) from the sites we protect to our servers in the USA, where our servers are located, or elsewhere.
