Disable on pages?

This plugin provides a very good-looking way of presenting footnotes. Thanks!
But I have quite a fundamental problem. I need to write a page telling my authors how to write footnotes. The problem is that whenever I use the appropriate notation, the plugin creates a footnote!
So is there a way, or some code that I can add, that will enable me to disable the plugin on pages?
