We installed this plugin in order to create a hidden field required to integrate with the site with Salesforce via Zapier. They need the field hidden but required and then of course it triggers a validation error.

So my question is, is there any way to do this and disable the validation check for the added field. Or is there some better way to do this?

    Thanks,
    Sheila

Thanks. I’m trying to purchase it now but your site is giving a 503 Service Unavailable error and it appears this is not available via Woo.

Assuming I can buy it, will the way to do this be self-evident or will I need some support? I do not see anything on your Pro feature list that looks like it will in fact do what I’m asking for!

Site is back up and I’ve purchased it under my client’s account. Once I get that info from him I’ll install and see if I can figure this out.

As feared, this is NOT obvious to me at all. Now that we’ve paid how do I get support?

    Hey there,

    Thank you for your purchase.
This is the pro version support link.

    Documentation link is here
    http://www.trottyzone.com/woocommerce-checkout-manager-pro-documentation/

    To hide a field.
    1. Go to WooCheckout in your wordpress admin panel
    2. Add your new field under Additional or Billing or Shipping tab (anyone)
    3. Save.

Now lets set it to be hidden for a certain product. Find your product ID under WooCommerce >> Products.

Just hover a product and you will get the ID.

Now go back to your added field
Click the More Toggler >> Hidden Toggler

Set the ID under “Hide Field from Product”
    Save your changes.

If it set to be required. The required attribute will be turned off each time the field is not meant to be seen for a product. So there would be no needed to worry about the required field.

Please do continue this conversation on the pro version support forum as support for Commercial products are prohibited on WordPress.

    Best Regards,
    E.

Thank you for the speedy response. I’ve read the documentation but it doesn’t address my issue.

This is NOT meant for a particular product but for all purchases AND I’d already made it hidden with CSS. The issue is that Salesforce requires it to be required and when it is required (hidden or not) it triggers an error message. Obviously if hidden then it cannot be completed and we don’t want/need it to be. But we need it to be passed through w/o an error. I thought the Pro version was going to allow me to set this up…yes? or no?! Thanks again.

I have replied to you the pro version forum.

Now to achieve having the required not be required but required when hidden.

    1. Go to WooCheckout in your wordpress admin panel
    2. Add your new field under Additional or Billing or Shipping tab (anyone)
    3. Save.

Now go back to your added field
Click the More Toggler >> Hidden Toggler

Set “1” under “Show Field for Product”
    Save your changes.
