    Nice Plugin, thanks for this.

Just for test-purposes, no caching etc this moment.

Before I activate it, Pingdom tells me this:

    Grade 85/100 – Requests 55 – Load-Time 2.37s – PageSize 1.6MB

After Activating, Pingdom tells me this:

    Grade 85/100 – 92 Requests – Load-Time 2.41s – PageSize 1.1MB

Why there are more Requests than before and what does that mean for SEO ?

    Best regards

Hello Mr. Potier, thanks for your reply.

I shared the URL over your contactform with you. Hope that’s ok for you, can’t post it here.

Please note some configurations, perhaps they are interested for you.

We’re on PHP 5.5.9 now with Zend’s Opcache enabled. Apache 2.4.7 with mpm_event, and php5-fpm. Everything on Ubuntu 14.04.

In Background now W3TC is enabled but this moment just for minifying some styles and scripts and Browser-Caching.

I tried your plugin without any caching activated before I post you this topic. The results are the same (just the pageload-time is a little bit higher)

It seems that your plugin creates a lot of empty data:images. That’s the reason why the requests are increasing this much, but I have no idea why this happen. Perhaps anything is wrong with my settings.

    Thank You.

It seems that it is not possible to invite you on Twitter if your not in any of my contact-books..

So I’ve sent you a message via WP-Rockets Facebook Account.

    Hope that’s ok for you : )

    Thank you

Nevermind i think we got the problem.
The performance tools doesn’t get how the data img (since it’s not a .gif) works and count this as a request.
    But obviously it doesn’t.
Try to open a firebug tool and check how many req you have, i think it will be lower.
    Have a nice day

    Thanks for your reply !

I saw that there are empty 0kb strings appear. But does this has an impact for SEO, if performance tools counts this as requests ?

As you can see in my first post the page size was very impressive reduced, so your plugin seems to work fine. But am I right that every request (0kb requests too) generates a connection for a little moment ?

    Best regards

A data can not make any request, it’s like a <div>, it’s just a text, and your browser know how to understand it and tranform this in a real picture.
There is NO way that a data in src attribute can run a request, impossible 100% sure.
There is no bad impact on SEO, my blog runs this lazy load (included in WP Rocket, cache plugin) since day 1 and every SE can read and index my pictures as always.
