• I’m using 2.2.1 and having trouble with the editor. It keeps mangling the code that I enter. A few examples:

    – <p> tags disappear if there are no attributes… then reappear in the source when viewing the page.

    – <div> tags with or without attributes disappear or turn into <p> tags in random ways

    – line breaks silently turn into
. That is, the tag is not visible in the editor but appears in the source.

Why must the editor change anything at all? If it’s going to check for errors, fine. But visually notifying the user there is a problem is better then the editor trying to fix it itself.

sorry, forgot about putting the tages in backticks. The tag mentioned in the third point is <br />.

    wbarnes,

I know that there are tons of people who aren’t fond of Microsoft. Could be a little touchy subject… sorry!

But I use a program called Windows LiveWriter and it works wonders. I can write beautiful posts, insert images… etc… and I can do it directly from my desktop without having to go to my blog, login, etc.. etc…

And something strange and unheard of from Microsoft… the program is actually free!

Write it, spell check it and post it. Works like a charm.
    🙂
