@befree22 – Thanks we appreciate it.
1. Do you mean like an offer countdown? Assuming you mean timer is unique to each user, or is it a global countdown for all users to see same time?
2. The soft exit does not as there is no way to detect them when they take their finger off the screen, but hard exit which is also included could be used on mobile which will prompt them to stay on the page when they try to leave for a special offer.
3. You could use Advanced Targeting Conditions to show a popup to a user that clicked a link from an email, but the popup wouldn’t work in the email client. For example you could add a link in your email like example-page?offer=1, then set Advanced Targeting Conditions to show the popup when the offer parameter exists or is equal to 1.
Thanks again, we have tried to make it super versatile, and let people know that it can do way more than simple popup marketing. There are dozens of extensions both planned an in the works. One is about to release this week “Search Popups” which offers both search form popups and search results popups with tons of features. You can see part of it in action now on wppopupmaker.com by clicking the search icon in the header. Doesn’t look like a popup but its made with Popup Maker 🙂
Slide up related content boxes, banner bars all possible with our vast array of options. Hard though to show people what it can really do in a simple description on the wordpress.org plugin page haha.
Let me know if you find any issues I can help with.
1. I’d like to add a countdown timer to the top of the popup’s optin form — see http://tinypic.com/r/20rtxev/8)
When the visitor arrives the popup loads after a few seconds, the timer will start so I guess the timer is unique to the visitor.
I’m researching countdown timer plugins but I wonder if there’s any that works well with Popup Maker. The best one I’ve seen is pageexpirationrobot ($376 OUCH!), but there’s Uji Countdown, and T(-) Countdown
2. OK, I’ll have to buy the “hard exit which is also included could be used on mobile which will prompt them to stay on the page when they try to leave for a special offer.”
3. OK, the link popup won’t work inside an email client but I can buy “Advanced Targeting Conditions to show a popup to a user that clicked a link from an email”
I’ve had such unfortunate luck with plugins, etc and I’ve purchased items that don’t work so I’m naturally quite leery. Plus, they go defunct after about 1 or 2 years. However, as I already mentioned, your easy modal script works well out-of-the-box and on mobile so I’m thinking of building my list using Popup Maker.
NB: I hope that mobile popups will be permitted for a long time and not be blocked/coded out as they are on the web.
Since we’re chatting about countdown timers, I think I’ll add a feature request here for a countdown timer similar to http://tinypic.com/r/npji0z/8
Could you create a countdown timer using easy modal script that functions similar to http://tinypic.com/r/npji0z/8 — the viral leads plugin is at http://graphicsbolt.com/gratisan/2014-nov/wpspeedblock.zip. Tutorials at http://graphicsbolt.com/gratisan/2014-nov/tutorial%20and%20HTML.zip
So, on any popup, when the countdown timer is 0, visitor is shown another message in the same popup window. I’m unsure how this will work with the hard exit. I’ll be happy to do beta testing.
@befree22 – Our extensions do not cease to function if your license expires. Only updates and support. That said renewals are much cheaper than the original purchase as well and we are considering offering long term renewals as well.
I will gladly add your idea for Countdown timer offers to our idea board. I have several developers already that are steadily working on new ideas to bring them to the market. In fact we have several that should be released very shortly.
Also Exit Intent combined with Advanced Targeting will allow you to do Hard exit on mobile, and soft exit on desktops. Best for both in fact.
