What created /wp-content/uploads/index.php ?
-
I have a
/wp-content/uploads/index.phpfile with file permissions 204 that consists of exactly 13 bytes:<?php exit;?>I understand the purpose this file serves, and that I can change its permissions or delete it — no problem there. But I’m curious as to where this file came from: what security plugin created it, if any? The file exists on all my sites, and I have iThemes Security (formerly Better WP Security), running on all my sites, so I figured that plugin was the file’s origin — but the iThemes folk say they’re not familiar with it. I’ve run other security plugins in the past, like Acutenix and Wordfence, so maybe it came from one of those.
Does anyone recognize this
index.phpfile?
