    Yes, it runs on a windows server.

    This is a known issue with windows/IIS server. It’s probably related to dir/file permissions, so maybe you could upload the plugin manually, temporarily change wp-content permissions to writable, activate plugin in wp admin and change back permissions of wp-content.

    I don’t know if this would work… You could maybe check your server error logs for a hint on what’s causing the 500 error(?) I think Godaddy support should be able to help you with this.
