Using "default:get" ampersands in URL parameter won't work

Using this URL parameter I wanted to set the default value fon an input field (http://contactform7.com/getting-default-values-from-the-context/):
http://example.com/contact/?message=This is A & B.Contact Form 7 displays the following:
This is A. Everything after the ampersand is beeing cut off. Even using&won’t work.Is there anything I can do to get it working?
