    Hi Chouby,

I am running Polylang on http://www.followmehome.cz with the following configuration.

    – wpcasa version: 1.3.8
    – wpcasa polylang version: 1.0.6
    – polylang version: 1.7.2

Whenever I attempt to translate a taxonomy (Features, Property Types, Categories), the system doesn’t let me.

Please see here – I can’t get the word dishwasher translated into “myčka nádobí”. Furthermore, the Czech version of the dishwasher (myčka nádobí) feature doesn’t even appear when I select the language into Czech.

Furthermore, when I switch the language into Czech and try to edit a listing, it offers no options in the sidebar (see here).

To give you an idea, here is my thought process. Maybe you’ll be able to spot the mistake I’m making.

I’d like to create the framework for listings I am about to upload, so I can later just pick them from the list. That means creating new features, property types, locations and categories before I create the listings themselves.

Creating the location / property type/ category / features in English isn’t a problem, but translating it to Czech is (see here). The translation just never shows up in the Czech language and when I switch to Czech.

Would you advise doing something differently? If yes, then how should I progress?

    Thank you,

    Honza

    Hello
Click on the quick edit of your category “myčka nádobí” and assign it the Czech language.
Does your translation work after that?

    Hi Chrystl,

sadly, that didn’t work. “Myčka nádobí” remains unassigned. 🙁

Could you deactivate all your plugins even *wpcasa polylang version: 1.0.6* and test your theme + only Polylang.

Well, the property translations work, but my initial issue lingers. I still can’t translate the categories, features or property types and assign Czech language to those translations.

In fact my question was: does your “Myčka nádobí” category work?

Can you assign a language in its quick edit and translate it?

This category is create thanks to a plugin, already provide by your theme?

Sadly, no. It doesn’t work. The categories, features and property types are provided by the wpCasa theme. I have already contacted their support, they tested it thoroughly and found nothing wrong with the theme.

In case you’d like to access my site and play around, I can arrange it.

If the wpcasa team found nothing wrong with their theme + Polylang I can’t help more.

I gave it another shot and tested it out on features.

    1) deactivated all plugins except Polylang
    2) added a new feature “myčka nádobí”
    3) assigned the Czech language to it using Quick Edit and it worked

However, when I edited the category in full edit mode and tried to assign it a translation (i.e. “dishwasher”), it broke and Czech language got unassigned.

At least we have the quick edit part done. Is there anything else I can do?

    Thank you!

    2) added a new feature “myčka nádobí”

Is it in Post > Categories ?
Why don’t you use the language dropdown in your Categories panel to assign the language?

Solved. I erased all languages, deleted the plugin and reinstalled everything from scratch.

    Thank you for your support.
