Incorrect php issues

    I’m getting this message: Plugin “Testimonials Widget” has been deactivated as it requires PHP 5.3.0 or newer. You’re running PHP 5.2.17. Once corrected, “Testimonials Widget” can be activated.
    Even though I am running this: PHP version 5.4.24 (from my cPanel)
    How can I get the plugin to see my current version of my PHP version?
