Edit theme on online site

    I have a static front page on my site only with logo and contact information… and i’d like to install wordpress and then modify the theme but keep that front page working…

    What’s the best way to do this?
    Should I install a maintenance plugin? If yes, wich one?

    I think a maintenance plugin would do the trick. I’ve been happy with WP Maintenance Mode in the past, although I don’t currently use it because I don’t have the need. It will allow you to customize the page displayed to visitors while in maintenance mode, so you can continue showing your basic information.
