• Hi,

If you look at my blog:

    http://mittechnical.com/BOSTON-SEO-WORDPRESS/

You will see that I have a few posts there.

If you scroll down on that main page to the post entitled “The Semantic Web and Data Cubes” (the last post on that main page) you will see that there is a comment. If you click “comments” – the page reloads and you can see the comments that have been posted and/or enter a new one.

HOWEVER: If on that same page you go to the second to last post, entitled “The Semantic Web – Fee Fi FOAF, um…” and repeat the process of clicking “comments” – the page reloads with that post in a new window and NO comments.

    What is going on here?

It is troubling, because I cannot tell you that I did anything noteworthy to change the site before I noticed this.

Is there something wrong? Or am I just not understanding some basic WordPress functionality?

    Thanks,

    J

I am thinking that this might have something to do with the fact that I have both a blog AND a page for the troublesome post?

Would that make any kind of sense?

Probably, there is some faulty code in that long-long post that prevents the display of the comment form.
(it does not open in new window for me; FF)

Yeah, you know what? This seems to be the issue.

I deleted the page and now there is no problem.

I would still like to know what is going on here. Im thinking that my mod_rewrite is directing the comments click to postname#comments and that is, because of my rewrite addon, being directed to the PAGE (which has no comments) as opposed to the post.

    ?

You mean the same title and the same content?
    Bad idea…
