Blog "Summary" format not working? | WordPress.org

Hello! I have the blog settings set to summary instead of full text, but it still displays the full post. I have my homepage set as a static page and then a Blog page in the menu, could this have something to do with is? Any ideas, thanks for any help, much appreciated.

What settings? If you mean under Setttings > Reading, that setting applies to RSS feeds :

OH ok I guess that wouldn’t apply to the blog feed on the actual blog page then, correct? Thanks! Yes it was under Setting>Reading.

Correct. What displays on the site is determined by the theme. If you want to modify Twenty Fourteen, you could ask on that theme’s forum and someone can likely help you with it:
