menu in left side bar

Hi,
for the second problem use some plugin like widget logic or http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-sidebars/
For the first one:

css selector for that widget in the left sidebar:
#left .widget_nav_menu

css selector for the list items in that widget:
#left .widget_nav_menu ul li

css selector for the links in the items:
#left .widget_nav_menu ul li a
