standard and variable products together?

Just trying to install woocommerce on my wp site for the first time.
My issue is that I want people to register on my account when purchasing my product. This will give them an account page that they can check into to see their invoices etc (or so I have been told).
Need to know how to set that up – if it isnt automatically set up.
Ok, my product(s)
I really have only one product, but there is a membership fee that has to be bought at the same time.
To further explain using a dog club analogy
Someone with a dog comes to my site and wishes to buy 10 dog collars.
The catch is that there is a $10 per year membership charge to be able to buy anything from me.
The shopping cart needs to show the $10 membership fee after they have chosen the dog collars and have arrived at the cart/payment page. I think it works like they can alter the amount of dog collars they want to buy in the payments page, but I dont want them to be able to alter or remove the membership fee.
I have no idea how to set this up or if it needs another plug in to get the job done?
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
