    Hi,
Am creating a Virtue Child Theme – using the Free Virtue Theme.
While doing research on Child Themes I came across an exchange from Ben at Kadence Themes that has me confused. I start with Ben’s comment then follow it up with my questions. Thanks.

    ———– Ben’s comment —————–
Just to help, if you create a child theme your css will be overridden by the theme options. Unless you use deeper tags or important in the css.
    The hierarchy goes as follows:
    Bootstrap.css

    Virtue.css

    Skin.css

Childtheme.css

    Themeoptions
    Kadence Themes

    ——— End of Ben’s comment ——

The way I interpret Ben’s comment:
    1. Child Theme created
    2. I then choose to edit the website by using Theme Options.
    3. That Theme option modification will override my Child Theme.
If that’s true then the Theme Options is rendered useless and I must make all future edits strictly using css code. Is that right?

The other questions I have is regarding the other css files and deeper tags:
What’s the difference between Virtue.css and Skin.css? Are they both being used?

What is an example of a deeper tag?

    Final Note
The last three times I have posted a question here in the WordPress Forum, a link to an old WordPress plugin mysteriously appears once I click to publish my Post.
I never see the link in the text field as I type my post. It only becomes visible once I click “POST”.
If the link appears again, please disregard it and/or let me know how to get rid of it.
    Thanks.
